BO is NOT constitutionally qualified to be POTUS regardless of where he was born because by his own admission his dad was a British/Kenyan citizen.

Why doesn't Congress raise this issue? Is the defintion of natural born citizen unclear?

Nothing is unclear about the definition of Natural Born Citizen.

” The...natural-born citizens, are those born in the country, of parents who are citizens...in order to be of the country, it is necessary that a person be born of a father who is a citizen; for, if he is born there of a foreigner, it will be only the place of his birth, and not his country.”

The definition of NBC is not defined within the Constitution. So the Courts must look elsewhere to understand the definition.

The only group of citizens about which there can be no doubts and no arguments are those born on U.S. soil to two citizen parents. They do not need a statutory clarification of their citizenship.

About all other groups of citizens, we can make arguments for and against natural born citizenship.

IMHO, we need a SCOTUS interpretation of the definition of NBC once and for all.

Why doesn’t Congress raise this issue?

They will have their opportunity in January, particularly the new members of the House of Reps. The House will be leading off the 112th Congress with the reading of the Constitution. Let’s see if someone has the balls to inquire about BHO’s eligibility. Maybe that’s the reason for the plethora of “birther” stories, only to focus on the place of birth.

Why Obama is ineligible – regardless of his birthplace

Its because Obama wouldn’t be the first President to be disqualified using this definition

The definition of NBC is very clear and it is also very significant because it is only required for President and VP. If there is not a difference then why doesn’t is just say citizen?

Nobody wants to address it because it would not be PC!

Because the media is in the tank and ridiculing anyone who questions their deity. Besides, until the new Republican majority takes over, Nancy, who certified Obama as eligible, had control of the Congress. Now, she's out of power, but still a member of Congress. Let's see whether they put any priority on it now.

Meanwhile I pray that a dozen or more states will enact new laws requiring proof of citizenship for all candidates, including for an incumbent.

Is the defintion of natural born citizen unclear?

EXTRAORDINARILY SO.

Regardless of where Barack Obama was born, is he truly a natural born citizen, with one parent who was never an American?

Do you ONLY need to have been born in America, or should you not have any familial ties to another country to be a NBC?

If neither of your parents were American citizens at the time of your birth, could you be a NBC? (Bobby Jindal is an example of this)

If either of your parents were illegally in America at the time of your birth, could you ever be a NBC?

Was John McCain a true natural born citizen since he was not born on American soil? (Congress decreed he was, but we need, in a good definition, the exceptions to the American soil birth -- when the parent(s) are serving this country overseas, when both parents are NBCs, but they happen to be abroad at the time of birth, what??)

We seriously need an Amendment to the Constitution on this subject, for easy international travel has complicated things.
