In a zero sum game like an election you can't just walk away ~ no matter what you do you make a choice. The winner is usually a consequence of your choice.

Coakley was the other outcome ~ she lost. Brown may or may not be a Conservative, or even a normal guy, but Coakley is best gone. We beat one of her kind down here in next door Maryland ~ a KENNEDY FAMILY MEMBER EVEN known as Kathleen Kennedy Townsend. Busted her right down in 2003 and that was the end of her career and that of every other Kennedy Democrat in that state, or elsewhere EXCEPT Massachusetts and Connecticut.

Even with Brown serving a day we got rid of Coakley ~ and there'll never be a Senator Coakley in the history of the nation.

Now, we might have to hang on a bit to toss Ted Kennedy's widow ~ but it can be done. I doubt opposing Brown only to get a Kennedyis a good deal anywhere.

Actually, that's a sick idea!

I understand the revulsion. The RNC has been playing too many games and lowering minimal standards. Recall the Scozzafava debacle in NY? And why hadn't they punished Murkowski?

The GOP is trending badly in the US Senate. Philosophically. Even Mitch Daniels of ID suggested removing "social issues" from the GOP platform - without a peep from RNC leadership.

The RINC/GOP is still controlled by the Rockefeller elites. As long as they are, they will remain much of the problem, saboteurs of conservative candidates, and enablers of RINO candidates.
