When I said that Kate’s ring was a dissapointment I didn’t mean that I didn’t like the ring, but quite the opposite. Although Diana’s ring wasn’t very expensive I thought it was tasteful, unique (how many women have a sapphire engagement ring?), and dramatic. And, since she chose it herself from an assortment of rings, it revealed a little bit about herself.I think it would have been interesting to see what kind of ring Kate would have chosen, that’s all. But, since William supposedly surprised her with it when he proposed, she never got the chance and she certainly couldn’t turn her nose up to it when he gave it to her.

But I do love your observation about Camilla and the ring.LOL! I hadn’t thought about that scenario!

I wonder if William did? It was reported he used to hear his mom crying in the bathroom when he was a little boy and would try to comfort her.
I don’t know how any son or daughter could wish his Step mother or step father much happiness when that person was part of the other parents misery.
