Conservative Organizations Slam Law Center for Labeling Them 'Hate' Groups
By Stephen Clark

Conservative groups and lawmakers are firing back at the Southern Poverty Law Center for releasing a new report labeling some mainstream conservative organizations as "hate groups" for their opposition to gay marriage.
In its latest report, the center added 18 "anti-gay groups" to its list of active hate organizations, including Concerned Women for America, the Traditional Values Coalition, the Family Research Council and the National Organization for Marriage.
They join the center's list of more than 900 hate groups, including the KKK, neo-Nazis, skinheads, white nationalists, neo-Confederates, and black separatists like the New Black Panther Party and the Nation of Islam.
"Even as some well-known anti-gay groups like Focus on the Family moderate their views, a hard core of smaller groups, most of them religiously motivated, have continued to pump out demonizing propaganda aimed at homosexuals and other sexual minorities," the report reads. "These groups' influence reaches far beyond what their size would suggest, because the 'facts' they disseminate about homosexuality are often amplified by certain politicians, other groups and even news organizations."

Now there's a concept - God as the leader of a hate group - Christians - because he has ruled that homosexuality is a sin.
Go ahead, liberals. Declare war on God. See how far that gets you.
I knew one of Dees' sons.
Hated his father's guts.
With reason.
Dees is one helluva huckster! Even Soros sends money to SPLC.
That seems to be the sole purpose of the organization -- to enrich Morris Dees.
The SPLC is a Proud Tower of Hypocrisy -- taking money from gullible liberals (and the government), for doing nothing, save demonizing innocent groups on the right.
Morris Dees is a nasty person.
Just google Morris Dee’s divorce papers for a shocker.
“a hard core of smaller groups, most of them religiously motivated, have continued to pump out demonizing propaganda aimed at homosexuals and other sexual minorities,”
Right, /sarc just more of the same from SPLC.
Trolling for dollars.
Morris Dees
Southern Poverty Law Center.
Not much good to say. For years they have been quoted by
the MSM as a source for hate groups. frankly Scarlett, they
are the Propagandists, Deceivers, and arbiters of hate, but the purpose is never forgotten. dialing for Dollars, and don’t you forget it.
One such group - I remember now it was the NAACP. He said on his show back when I used to watch like 7 years ago that he was a member of the NAACP.
Google returns nothing about it.
People who work for advocacy groups like the Southern Poverty Law Center are well-paid to look for evidence that Americans are racist, fascist, and prejudiced. If they were to conclude that we weren’t, they would have to fold shop and get real jobs. So making charges that aren’t necessarily true keeps the donations coming and their plushy lifestyles intact. In this case, they’re reaching like never before.
The SPLC has outlived its usefulness. I sent a msg to them, asking if Bob Kraft, owner of the New England Patriots football team was a terrorist because his team uses the word ‘Patriot’ in it.
Within the slpc is this guy Potok. Who has no background in law enforcement, not a lawyer, nothing. A PR flack and fundraiser. Not one to be delimited by the legalities of real law enforcement and the Constitution, he states:
a hate group has nothing to do with criminality [or] potential for violence Rather, as Potok put it, Its all about ideology.
It is about how you think, and whether it matches what THEY think you should think or speak. This is the essence of Stalinism, and the excellent book by Orwell, “1984”.
It is not enough that you are brought around to think that black is white, but it means also the actual ability to believe that black is white, moreover to KNOW that black is white, and to forget that you have ever believed the reverse.
The purveyors of “correct thought” takes some kind of personal hubris, and will and have reaped what they sow.
Imagine a day in that office.
Isn’t the SPLC just a couple of girlyman liberals with an old Commodore 64 computer and a bank account number who are afraid to get a real job?
I believe they meant to say "groups to hate".
Placemark.
I don't know if this is their main funding source, but I recall reading an editorial (on the Reason magazine websirte, IIRC) where the author siad they way overblow the activity and numbers of white supremacist groups in the South so that little old ladies in the Northeast (especially NYC) will be scared to death and write them big checks.
Law center my behind.Just a front for a communist organization and nothing more.
Who listens to them anyway.........
