Translation: I know the real story because his parents were my “friends”, and because of that it would be disloyal to reveal the true story. So I would rather move on and disregard this....

I am hopeful that the NY Times coverage of this story will “allow” the right-wing talkers to bring it up. They can't be accused of flogging the story if they are merely talking about the MSM coverage of the story.
The NY Times disingenuously claims that the story of about defending Obama from the birthers, but the NY Times is not that stupid. The story is about Abercrombie threatening Obama that he will change HI law to open the records if Obama doesn't sign a release, IMO!

...it is almost like Abercrombie is scolding Obama for being unwilling to risk “sticks and stones” (what could those be?) for the sake of the memory of his parents.
If a forgery has been prepared (frankly I doubt it given today's forensic science) it would have to withstand much more withering facial scrutiny then the 2007 COLB.
A long form will have a hospital with support staff and an MD might still be alive and who may have relatives and signature samples available.

And, BTW, contrary to Gov. Abercrombie, it's no insult to Obama's mother nor father to suggest that Obama might have been born in Kenya. At least three Kenyan parliamentarians, the Kenyan ambassador to the United States, and Obama's paternal grandmother have stated that he was born there.
Nor should Abercrombie be insulted by bills in Congress to require presidential candidates to prove their American birth. All these bills are doing is providing a mode for (at least partially) enforcing the "natural born citizen" clause in the US Constitution - a Constitution Abercrombie has sworn to uphold many times in his political career.
Any medical records would also show his blood group...and his blood group might open up another unwanted can of worms.
