A black father has been sensationally pardoned for the racially charged murder of a white teenager he claimed was part of a ‘lynch mob’ that stormed his home.
John White, 57, was freed after serving just five months of a two-to-four-year prison sentence for the shooting.

You are quite late to the party and have shown up empty-handed. The person who initiated the use of force was the shooter, Mr. White. And what are you prattling on about with respect to “justifiable homicide” and “any reasonable jury”? Mr. White was convicted of manslaughter. Are you claiming that the jury was not reasonable?

Yes, there is a lot of B.S. posted regarding this case (as is common for cases involving race in particular).
It takes effort and skill to sort through it all.
Unless we each commit to developing that skill and making that effort (not necessarily with respect to this particular case but in general) then our Republic will be lost.
I am generally very unsympathetic to people who show up online claiming innocent and well-intended ignorance and asking others to expend effort explaining the world to them. This is a shop-worn trolling technique that evil people use to waste the time of the good.

It says in the article that he was on his own property. As for approaching a bunch of angry drunks on his own property, I don't claim that was prudent, but it was a choice that he has a legal and moral right to make . . . since it was his property.
An extremely cautious or particularly sensible person probably would have called, as most people could see in retrospect, knowing what did happen. However, a reasonable person might initially conclude that it was not an emergency that rose to the level of a 9-1-1 call although it did require arming himself with a pistol in case it rose to that level suddenly. I've been in unpleasant situations in which violent drunks entered my property and I had to think all of those things through, and I'm sympathetic to the difficulties faced by this man.
The article does not state that the shooting occurred on Mr. White's property.
My mistake. When the article said, "Mr White confronted the group in his driveway", I assumed that his driveway was his property. My driveway begins at my property line.
It is hard to find definitive information about this very important point of fact (this difficulty in itself being quite telling to me), but my understanding is that the group arrived at the house in multiple cars, were standing around on public property (i.e. the street) at the foot of Mr. White’s driveway, and that Mr. White armed himself and went out to the street to confront them. Further, some sources have described the driveway as “long”.
The parents know. The lawyer father told both kids (and parents) to cease any communication. I tried to call and he refuses to talk.
The plan? They are claiming that my son is “in on it.” The weak-kneed school administrators are saying that they don’t know who knew what so are ruling that it didn’t happen.
