The Shelbyville chief of police and a former Tyson employee confirmed that threatening messages surfaced this week, leading to extra security at the plant.
"A couple days ago, they had a terrorist threat that was written on the bathroom walls that said 'all Americans must die,'" said a woman, who said she wanted to remain anonymous to protect her relative, who works inside the plant.
She said that she didn't see the writing herself but is aware of what's going on from others.
"One day last week, someone set the women's bathroom on fire, and they finally put a security guard at the bathroom door," the woman said.
She said workers are scared.
"Some of them are afraid. They've been talking about it and worried about it and wondering what Tyson is going to do about it," she said.
"We have not been asked to come down to Tyson to make any kind of official report," said Chief Austin Swing.
But Swing said the department has been asked to provide an armed, off-duty officer to patrol inside the plant through the holidays. Tyson didn't explain the reason why.

They probably voted with their feet and got the hell out of Dodge.
I keep hearing,”Aint going to put up with.....” . After so long it loses it effectiveness. In other words: Noone believes it any longer.
We are getting to critical mass in this country. People are getting real fed up with the foreign invaders. I see real problems ahead if we don’t take our country back soon.
You and me both.
Of course to avoid any implications of profiling the authorities will investigate every church going, hunting license holder, good old boy employee of the facility.
The Mexican population in Shelbyville shrank quite a bit after Tyson got busted a few years ago. There are still several there but not in the numbers as previously. Tyson was their main employer and the Somalis have those jobs now.
Lordy, it’s a small world. LOL!
I’m honestly surprised this crap has been tolerated as long as it has. There’s been a LOT of grumbling, no doubt. But so far, the Somalis haven’t pushed things to the point of people taking action. They keep this sort of stuff up, all bets are off.
But of course!! And I'll bet that's exactly what they're doing.
Neither have the progressives, but it's getting a lot closer. On a calm day, you can almost hear the gunshots of the battle growing closer.
I’m inclined to agree with you.
I never thought I’d live to see the day things would get to that point, but now I believe it’s close.
“I can go from sweet to b*tch in .000001 second. “

I remember a decal and/or TShirt with a picture of a buzzard sitting on a roost with the caption
50.1% Sweetheart

I almost bought one of those t-shirts.
Then I thought, “Why should I give folks warning?” LOL!
I never was too hot on Mexican food. Too spicy.
Give me Italian any day of the week and I’m a happy camper!
The people of Tennessee are noted for coming together to fight against a common threat. It isn’t called the “Volunteer State” for nothing.
We’ll see how seriously this threat is taken. I certainly take it seriously. I don’t trust them at all.
“Tyson is a food processor. Sounds like someone is threatening the food supply. Dont buy Tyson products until they get rid of the Muslims there.”
Good idea.
The Muslims at Tyson aren’t the democratic Muslim I heard on Mark Levin’s show, they are BITTER, and even after Tyson provided a prayer room for them, and gave them a Muslim holiday, they are STILL BITTER, I would say, after reading this:
‘According to the plant security officer interviewed by this investigator, plant workers are concerned for the safety of the food product they produce and in some cases, afraid for their own safety. Most of these [Somali Muslims] dont want to interact with others, integrate within the community, and seem quite antagonistic to the American way of life, he stated. I dont know why they want to continue to work or live here when they seem very unhappy all of the time, he added.’
“I was hoping Perdue chicken was an exception.
So when I buy Sorrento cheese, or Dannon yogurt or Saltine crackers or MacIntosh apples or Reeses Peanut Butter cups..the odds are high that the food has been handled by illegals?
Yikes.”
So what CAN we eat?
Food workers at the Shelbyville, Tenn., plant for Tyson Foods, which boasts on its corporate website that it strives "to honor God," will have time off for Eid al-Fitr, the Muslim holiday closing the month of Ramadan, instead of the American tradition Labor Day.
2008 - Tyson Plant Drops Labor Day for Muslim Holiday
SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. Workers at a Tyson Foods poultry processing plant in Tennessee have opted to trade a paid Labor Day holiday for the Muslim celebration of Eid al-Fitr.
A 5-year contract approved by members of the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union at the Shelbyville, Tenn., plant last November includes the change to accommodate Muslim workers.
