“Even if the terrorists are smart enough to figure this out all by themselves?”
So if someone did this at a nuclear plant, or outside the World Trade Center in NYC, or the tunnels in NYC, or the Golden Gate Bridge, you’d be OK with it? Maybe case your own house and put it on YouTube ‘cause the home invaders already know how to break in and how to figure out when you are home?
No, detailed security vulnerability analyses should not be made public, even when done by upset amateurs.
As for “going through channels”, the “channels” hire experts to do their vulnerability analyses and keep them secret, because you or anyone else don’t know what the terrorists know or what they can figure out or what little detail is exploitable. You and I don’t get to read them.
Oh, OK, right; I feel so much safer now.

Then they don't act on them.
Do you actually think TSA security is "secure"? It isn't. The TSA is amateur at best and not particularly functional. Does it make sense to perpetuate that foolishness when actual security is so much more easily done?
Do you think it makes sense to subject Americans to such scrutiny while the Mexican border is wide open and known to be admitting "OTM" into out Nation?
Do you think it makes sense to give up Liberty in exchange for pretense of security?
I am shocked that a FReeper who has been on this site for 12 years is supporting tactics used by Adolf Hitler.
Go to your nearest bookstore and buy "Rise and Fall of the Third Reich" and maybe you will be enlightened.
As of now you stand on the side of Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini and Big Sis.
Still sucking on the Gubbament Bong, I see. Are you aware that security at nuclear plants is different?
The tunnels have no possible security, due to the speed of the traffic?
Bridges are hardly cases where detailed searches are possible.
Or, are you arguing that we should have a member of TSA’s Body Cavity Exploration Corps “check” each person going through a tunnel or across a bridge?
A simple “Yes” or “No” will suffice.
