As a parent of a child adopted from a nation where abortions outnumber live births, it’s infuriating to read about this. These people take the position that if they can’t have their child, then NOBODY can.
It’s doubly infuriating when they’re in Ontario with government health care and letting their second child live wouldn’t cost them much of anything, and when there’s tens of thousands of families across Canada and the US waiting for a child.
I thank God every day I look upon my son’s smiling face that his birth mother was not selfish like this.
Liberal regions like the blue states wonder why their population is shrinking.
could “gay fetal reduction” be far behind?
Sounds freaky to me too, but I’m not a twin. If I can track down the last thread, I’ll ping you to it.
“Wait until that same reasoning is used on old people.”
When that time comes, don’t be surprised if it’s being advocated by the twin who wasn’t “reduced.” What ye sow, so shall ye reap...
A proper punishment for these people would be to have the surviving twin turn out to be a real handful—of the malicious variety. Then they would spend their whole lives bemoaning the choice they made and wondering: What if?
Funny ain’t it. But they’ll claim it ain’t fair at the same time they bash the Pope.
People are funny.
Well it’s simple. If the one they kept has a goatee, then they knew they chose wrong...
All my cats and dogs are the runts from more litters than I can remember.
They are in fact the best animals, because they have a strong desire to survive and never forget that you saved them.
Killing any person is a bad thing.
Killing a fetus because it is inconvenient is an evil thing.
My mother taught me when I was a child that “we always make room”. Been going on for long time.
Wanted, or unwanted, there is always a place for the children.
In 2010, particularly in the industrialized West, there should be an effective surgical abortion rate of 0%. In addition to abstinence, there are condoms, barriers, injections, implants and pills all made to prevent conception. There's even an "emergency contraception" regimen. Each of those is "choice."
And yet, despite all those widely available contraceptive methods offered by science, and championed by the "sexual revolution" radicals, there's still hundreds of thousands, if not over one million surgical abortions in the United States alone each year.
Opting for an abortion, even one called "selective reduction," is like hiring a hit man.
