This is what we have become...a Nation of Idiot’s with a Nanny complex.
Very disturbing, I have seen this pattern worsening over the past 10 years.
The school Administrators are emasculated wimps and the cops are utter control freaks who treat the the public as their departmental ATM machines, who pay for their bloated bennie packages.

“The marker ban—which apparently is aimed at curbing graffiti—stems from a city ordinance making it illegal to possess spray paint or a permanent marker on private property (without the owner’s permission)” if the article is right then the boy walks. Public school is not private property.

One of the comments at the end of the article:
Teachers cannot arrest people, only police can. The teacher can't "have a student arrested." It is entirely within the discretion of the police whether or not to arrest, and the police officer is fully responsible.

Woodside, pictured at right, reported that the child, whose name was redacted by police from the report, attempted to hide the marker when she asked him for it. Why? Was she bullying him? I'd bet she bullies the kids regularly, and that's why he was afraid of her.
