Military is downsizing dramatically, it will not be consider a major employer by mid year 2010. I suspect thousands will be added to the unemployment roles from the military.

Adm Roughead's gratuitous I am pleased... statement re the repeal was an unfortunate choice of words and could be seen by some as compromising the discretion of his officer corps.
Gen Amos USMC who was an early outspoken critic at the highest levels of any repeal, is not buying it.
His words, when faced with passage of the troublesome legislation, "I will lead..." is what one would expect of a Marine officer, or any military officer for that matter. He is telling his officer corps in essence to stand fast, he will do everthing in his power to make this right.
Too bad there are some critics here on FR that do not see that.
