I trust the cop’s first-hand judgment over your third-hand judgment.

Your trust in today's law enforcement is not upheld by their track record of honesty when caught doing something they shouldn't.

Good call — “neighbors” in high-crime areas are always honest when it comes to police activity ... the wisdom and impartiality that comes from having several family members in the slammer, I’m sure.

Certainly more credible than some jackbooted dog-murderer, right?
