“A war is not necessary.”

Please read the article again and you will discover the call for war came from a Messican or some other sort of La Raze rabble rouser.

Let’s continue with your: “A war arising from our systematic demonization of an entire class of people”

I think you are deliberately confusing “demonization” with “description” because you don’t like the factual description of illegals and their many illegal acts.

The hard facts are that illegals are very costly to Am
erica in terms of financial burdens imposed by the illegals, and the criminal acts which these illegal immigrants commit at rates far above the native born population.

Act like a demon (illegals) and be called one. What’s the complaint?

To continue: “—demonization that could easily end if we simply wrote laws that weren’t designed to treat illegals like untermenschen”

Sorry, criminals are not the same as law abiding native born Americans.

UberWhine of yours follows: “demonization is the fault not of the victims but of the victimizers.”

That’s a thick slice of Liberal Cheesy with that Liberal Whine, I’d say.

America is not responsible for the criminal behavior of illegal aliens. That you could even post such egregious Liberal maundering tells me you may be posting on the wrong forum.

Conservativism =/= the kind of nonsense I have seen on this thread. Lock and load? Shoot to kill?

There’s a difference between being a conservative and sounding like Bull Connor’s Texan nephew.

I’m aware that I don’t sound like most of the people chanting in unison on this thread. But. Today’s conservative heresy is tomorrow’s conservative truth. I seem to recall that conservatives used to think that Eisenhower was some kind of communist agent (true story! look it up). It took a conservative heretic named Bill Buckley to shake our movement loose of that kind of nonsense. Maybe it’s time to do the same thing to the idea that to be conservative you want to expel people from the country who don’t talk and think like you do.
