This is stuck and it happened this past Monday and Tuesday just outside of Windsor. Actual reports had approx. 350 motorists stranded in their cars for over 24 hours and ultimately had to be airlifted out via military helicopters...........
Look on a map for the intersection of I-95 and I-26 in South Carolina. In 1973 people were stranded all through the area by snow! It was 17 inches deep where I live and up to 25 inches were reported South of here. Some were airlifted off the highway then. My supervisor on the job I had then lived in Columbia and he had taken his wife and 3 children to Charleston. He started driving back in the snow and they wound up spending 3 days at a service station at the intersection of 95 and 26.
