I fear my country just died.
It died a long time ago. At least it "jumped the shark" although Fonzie is long gone and the twin Evenrudes are out of gas. B-P Some say it died during the Whiskey Rebellion (1794), end of the Civil War (1865), The income tax (1913), World War I (1917) (IMHO, we should not have entered World War I), Women voting (1920), New Deal (1933-40), JFK shot (1963), The Pill and Sex Revolution (1960, late 1960's), the end of the Cold War (1991) (we don't have big, bad USSR anymore to worry about) or the election of the Kenyan Usurper (2008). Take your pick. I say that all here along with many others was like pulling a straw out of a game of "Kerplunk" where a marble or several here and there fell, but I think we really lost a lot of our marbles under Clinton and much more when the Kenyan Usurper was elected.
