Imho, many of those who believe that this issue is not important simply have no idea of what is really at stake. They’re well-meaning people who just don’t know what the impact of that attitude results in, which you and your family unfortunately experienced.
The real issue is not whether an occasional random Freeper believes it's not important, but whether a sufficient number of the American electorate believes that way.
Whether or not there is a debate on FR, there must be a debate in America at large if yesterday's action is to be reversed.
