I'll make my stance clear- Their special interest has no place in the military. It's nothing more than an announcement that they are "different" and want preferential treatment. That, in and of itself, is detrimental to unit cohesiveness and discipline in a fighting force.
I do not think it acceptable for someone to dress in leather outfits, slap their fellow soldier on the ass, and shout “oh behave!” I don’t think that the repeal of DADT allows that. It will allow people to not hide who they are. Wouldn’t like to know who to avoid if that is what you want?
Military discipline will always be military discipline.
How do you feel about integration of white and black soldiers in the armed forces? Is that also government experimenting?
