I am not from a big city so I haven’t been exposed to actually being around gays. One time I was at a party - I was sitting by some guy - quickly realizing through the conversation that he was a gay - I felt so uncomfortable, I had to remove myself, I honestly felt like punching him in square in the teeth. ( my honest feeling.)
I couldn’t imagine having to spend time in close quarters serving in the military in that environment... In combat, Im sure I wouldnt care, but in everyday living, I couldnt do it.
These idiots in Congress never stop to think that some people really / sincerely have difficulties being around gays?
Well I guess that goes double for me as well. My FB friends list is pitifully small, less than 25. My nieces like to add everyone and anyone, up to 1000 "friends". One of my old chums from jr. high was on my list...found out from his wall he likes guys. Always making comments about how "this guy looks so hot!" and he would do him in a heartbeat. I also saw on his info page he was a Dem. So I removed him. I think FB now allows you to do it quietly, without notifying them.
Bottom line is, he was not content on just "being gay". He has to make sure everyone of his friends on FB knows it and endorses it. I HATE that. Being put on the spot in front of my family and conservative friends and being forced to make a hard decision. Well sometimes you have to make those hard decisions to prevent future trouble with friends/family. So, 20 years of "friendship" down the drain because he couldn't respect the wishes of others who might not share his perverted views.
