We had the draft back then. If your number came up and you got drafted and refused to go, you went to jail. Sort of like the officer who refused to deploy recently because he objected to Obama as President because of in his opinion, doubtful eligibility. A lot of them back then went to Canada. Daddy called them draft dodgers.

Your daddy was right. The cowards such as Cassius Clay and the ones who moved to Canada were draft dodgers.
