I've thought of a way to nip all this in the bud. Tell these congressional fools that that support this legislation that a stipulation should be also inserted that if any service member objects to DADT's repeal, they may request an immediate Honorable discharge pursuant to their constitutional rights of freedom of association under the first Amendment. There would be a mass exodus.

I'd bet the farm that this issue of DADT repeal would be dropped like a hot potato! Unfortunately it's probably to late.

Why not settle the issue by referendum. Take a secret ballot vote by all men and women in our military. Let them decide. Then let justice be done.

"support this legislation that a stipulation should be also inserted that if any service member objects to DADT's repeal"

Sounds very reasonable.
