Get out of Oklahoma as fast as possible...
a simple little town of 2300 citizens in n. central OK...do you suppose many if any religious “minorities” are residents of this farming community........
Tak about picking fly shit out of the pepper...
Proactive stupidity. Now, no one even has to be offended, it’s enough for someone to think that the possibility might exist for someone to wildly misunderstand something and then maybe consider that it might have the potential to be discriminatory? It brings to mind sci-fi stories where people are reduced to blobs living as virtual captives in their rooms being cared for by benevolent machines that insulate them from any possible risk.
Because in order to work with the Federal Reserve Bank there are certain requirements. I have never heard of these things tho. They do tho have security requirements etc.

“Fight fight fight”
A community bank in rural Oklahoma is in no position to fight with the Federal Reserve.
However, perhaps Ron Paul might ask Helicopter Ben about it under oath sometime early next year.
This is great news. We need even more behaviour like this so at some point, maybe not in my lifetime, Americans will rise up against this tryanny and snuff it out for good.
The bank should sue the regulator. This is a 1st amendment freedom that must be defended. The bank is a private enterprise regulated by the government. It is not a government enterprise. Congress shall enact no provision which interferes with the free exercise of religion.
No more than I’d expect to be “discriminated against” going into a Kosher grocer or into an Asian supermarket.
If they only come every 4 years, then thats 3 years of Christmas decorations!
And what would happen if the bank chose to leave the scripture verses and the crosses up? This is political correctness gone way too far -— again.
And I guarantee you that these are the same regulators that wouldn’t say a peep about things that might make whites or Christians feel uncomfortable. And they wouldn’t say a peep precisely because it might be taken as racist or pro-Christian.
These guys are really asking for trouble. Unbelievable.
Trillion dollars of corrupt and worthless derivatives: OK. Bail them out.
Christmas decorations in a bank: Not OK. Take them down.
They need to print up stickers in various sizes that say "CENSORED BY THE FEDERAL RESERVE" and put them over the offending words"
"Merry CENSORED BY THE FEDERAL RESERVE-mas, CENSORED BY THE FEDERAL RESERVE With Us."
"For CENSORED BY THE FEDERAL RESERVE so loved the world . . . "
Maybe even make a cross out of the words in two stickers?
Did I overlook the ‘prepared statement’ from the ACLU?
I don’t think the Federal Regulators have the authority to force a bank to take down religious symbols unless its discriminating agains’t another religion or group. The bank should fight it except they know they will then be audited every other day as payback.
Using the term "Feds" to describe private employees of the private bank called the Federal Reserve is inaccurate.
If the bank is not a federal entity, then this is a violation of the 1st amendment protection of free speech, religious law, and free exercise.
If my bank wants to say “Merry Christmas” then that’s their business. I the jihad doesn’t like it, there are other banks.
I’ve actually been to Perkins. I doubt seriously if there are any Jews or Muslims around to be offended. Cute little town. This is all getting so tiresome.
Not having such symbols makes me think they are discriminating against me, so they NEED to have those symbols to comply with the law.
