At the very least, we ought to send to this brave young lady a Ruger semi-auto with 30 round mag on a pistol grip stock with red dot sight. Mom is 'under armed' if the perps are coming in threes.

When my granddaughter turned eleven, she received the Marlin/Glenfield tube fed .22 rifle I had refinished the stock on, the rifle her dad learned to shoot with. Her next rifle and a new pistol will be a bit higher caliber (9mm) and will be hers alone!

I already have a lever .38/,357 rifle for her, when her dad sees fit to allow her to practice with it. It even has the ‘Red Rider’ sadle ring!
