Genetic engineering doesn't "tamper" with the laws of nature. Insofar as they exist, we can't change them; we have to work within them.

It is true that matter can neither be created nor destroyed. Then there is the natural matter (created by God) and the artificial (created by man). Which do you think would be the greater threat?
As an advocate for unregulated scientific experimentation, you are going to take the word from this Presidents commission that everything is safe and there are no ramifications to fear. There are moral issues involved here as well which are glossed over.
Maybe that would be sufficient under a normal administration, but if you haven't noticed, Obama has surrounded himself with Czars and advisers who subscribe to Fabian Socialism. This is not conjecture but the truth. Some of these people have put pen to paper over serious and harsh methods of population control, controlling human personal actions through prodding and limiting the option one has for food, shelter and clothing. One went so far as to advocate abortion until the age of two. Here are the list of Czars so you can do your own research.
