I’m not a lawyer. I did spend much of my 25 years deployed, and have no tolerance for those who fail to go.
If he didn’t think Obama was really President, he could have resigned. Instead he chose to obey some orders (pre-deployment leave) and refuse others (deploy).
He got off light.

I know you’re not a lawyer.
Lakin did something courageous under unimaginable circumstances for the good of the country. Had the court been composed of men of courage, the outcome would have been much different.
This case says much about just how deep we are in the “mud.”
