I'm a lawyer, albeit not admitted in Hawaii. But the rule everywhere I've ever looked is that statutes always trump regulations if they're inconsistent, and that is doubly true if the statute was passed after the regulation.
Who had challenged Ronald Reagan’s eligibility before his inauguration? Apples and oranges. SCOTUS can only hear the issue when there is a case brought before it. There was not a case brought regarding Ronald Reagan, but there have been a multitude of cases brought regarding Obama.
And unless and until he presents his birth certificate as evidence, it has no probative value. IOW, the only way anybody can legally say what Obama’s age is at this point, is if he presents the BC in a court case, which he refuses to do.
There’s no way he “qualified” by Jan 20th.

And, he’s a skilled physician who surely should be welcomed

Regan was born to two parents who were citizens, inside the mainland United States.
Obama has a British father who was never a citizen, and there is no legal proof he was born in the United States.
With Reagan, there is no question about his citizenship status. With Obama there IS.
Only when there is real question as to a persons heritage and birthplace is there REASON to demand such proof.
When such reason exists, then proofs should be offered.
Reagan was unquestionably a Natural Born Citizen, his papers, his history and the details of his life were all in the public eye long before he became Governor of California.
With Obama, NO ONE KNOWS ANYTHING.
The only way one can equate the two men is to point out the start differences between the two, and to recognize that THIS is the reason the Founders put in the qualifications regarding Natural Born Citizenship. To prevent cretins like Barry from usurping power.

I don’t think you will - he simply folded by pleading guilty and I do not think he will relish any further role in this fight.
It all depends on the particulars and how he feels after the dust settles. He may have not had much of a choice or been brow beaten into it. If that be the case he needs to come out with the details. Who knows what actually went on behind the scenes except him and them and of course, The LORD. We must pray for him, that he will know what is best and do what is best for the Country and for truth's sake.
