Toomey, like Scott Brown are positioning [sic] themselves to be on “the right side of history”. In history, “rights” were expanded to include non-property owners, to women, to Native Americans, to African-Americans, and now to gays. This seems unstoppable-—for better or for worse.

Every previous time, preachers railed against it. But preachers have a way of looking out for their short-term finances and being wrong in the long-term. Our Nation survived the past expansions, and it will survive this one.
