That ONLY applies to conservative churches.

If they are humanists posing as “religious” people,

then it doesn't apply. Heck they even have POLITICAL SPEECHES and calls for POLITICAL DONATIONS in the HUMANIST “churches”. If you are attending a conservative church, you can't do that. If you DO, then the conservative church will be audited and lose their tax exemption status.
