Great post. Out of those questions, we know the answers to these I listed below, don't we?
How Federal hate speech laws apply to the Armed Forces? Will commanders be required to take UCMJ action?
Will a career Marine’s personal opinion on homosexuality become an impediment to promotion or assignment to key billets?
Do the Senate and the House Armed Services committees intend to demand sexuality statistics to make certain that homosexuals are being promoted At the same rate as non-homosexuals? Will homosexuals be promoted at a faster rate to “compensate” for previous years of discrimination?
Since same sex marriage is not authorized by Federal Law is a married homosexual from MA authorized to enlist? Does the spouse of a married homosexual rate a dependent’s ID card? Will “partners” of homosexuals be given dependent status?
Will homosexuals be deployed to countries where there is no SOFA in place in which homosexuality is a crime? If no, who picks up the slack?
Will homosexuals who become HIV positive still be discharged? Is being HIV positive now a “service connected” injury which rates disability?
Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, No, Marines with wives/children and Yes.
If they win on this, every single piece of legislation out there will fall like a house of cards, and they damn well know it. It will set a legal precedent for all aspects of society to be forcefully accessible to open homosexuality, from Scoutmasters to the Oval Office.

Not as open homosexuals they didn't legally serve. It was grounds for a less than honorable discharge if uncovered.

I disagree. The borders and immigration are much more vital to our nation at this time. DADT? There are already homosexuals serving in the military, they just don’t admit “officially” that they are homosexual.
More on the left are vehemently anti-Christian than “closet homos”.
Homos are their weapon to accomplish their goal of criminalizing Christianity.

Interesting point and one I hadn’t considered. Why would that be a goal?
On another note, if you look at the demographics, illegal aliens “made legal” would flock to the military as a way of climbing the American social ladder. Our birth rate, like many other Western nations, is not good for our long term prosperity and security.

Perhaps, but gay people have more disposable income (no kids) and more political power than you can imagine. They are organized and determined.
I personally do not care what people do in their private lives as long as they don’t hurt others or themselves. That being said, this wedge issue could be used to target religious beliefs against homosexuality, etc., which would cause absolute chaos - this is NOT Europe. Ultimately, imho, decisions have to be made, tough decisions, about what is best for this country and this ain’t it.
The Left likes the Draft for two reasons;
Firstly, they view the volunteer Military as uneven in it’s demographic make up (as you touched on). They see a Draft as the way to change that. Secondly, the Left is always in favor of more Government control of people’s lives.
That makes absolute sense. The military is one of the last bastions of America that the leftists have yet to totally conquer.
