I would like to see Dr. Lakin's actual words quoted. His guilty plea does seem to indicate confusion.

After all he’s been through, do you seriously think he would recant now?

Barry’s Pentagon Nazis have thrown a noose around his neck. He’s got to save his own skin now.

I believe that he said he would deploy from the beginning if Obama proved he was eligible, how is this any different

So, rather than fork over an undisputed Birth Certificate, this President would rather see an Army doctor sent to prison.
Class act, Barry.
Well put.

"...Lakin then gave an unsworn statement in question-and-answer format, taking more than an hour to explain his conduct. He said he understands the Army is not the place to get answers to his questions, and admitted that he made the wrong call in thinking it was. He was in tears during parts of his unsworn, and said he would prefer jail time to dismissal from the service. Colonel Sullivan reports that Lakins attorney, Neal Puckett, asked tough questions: you asked for this court-martial, didnt you? Are you proud of what youve done? LTC Lakin said he was not proud, and that if he had it all to do over again, he would not actually refuse to deploy in fact, he would deploy tomorrow, if he could. He denied having ever said you had your chance that statement, he said, came from his former counsel, Paul Jensen.
The court is in recess until tomorrow..."

told a jury he was wrong to do so and would now deploy if he could.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
To get at the truth, one would need to read the entire transcript of what was asked and said.

A little late for that now.
Might as well have kept his pride and the good will of those that believed in his stand, cause that’s all he will have left when they are done with him.

An Army doctor who disobeyed orders to deploy to Afghanistan because he questioned President Barack Obama's eligibility for office told a jury he was wrong to do so and would now deploy if he could. A tad late for that now.

It is probably their intention to lock him up for a very very long time. He may think this will keep him from going to prison for life. It’s unfortunate that the birth certificate issue was not embraced by more people on the right.

from a google search (I could not remember the name of the soldier) "Army Specialist Michael New ... A patriotic American soldier is being court martialled for refusing to wear a United Nations uniform .... Blind obedience to bad commands is not justified. ... U.S. soldiers are not recruited as mercenaries to do whatever they are told."
An argument made at that time: "It is not up to individual soldiers to decide what is Constitutional and what is not. Lawful and unlawful orders are defined for us by the Constitution, the President . . . ."
The presi.. but what if -- oh, never mind.

He deserves what’s coming to him, but I feel a little sorry for the guy. I understand wanting to take a principled stand, but I think he got some really lousy coaching and encouragement from people who were just blind to the real issues he would face. He was stupid for fall for it. Now he sees it.

This case was a shameful railroad operation. The presiding judge (O-6) REFUSED to allow a discovery process, refused to allow ANY testimony or other evidence on behalf of the defendant, AND refused to allow retired USAF Lt Gen McInerny to testify about an officer's sworn duty to uphold the constitution and verify orders are lawful!
The judge had the the AUDACITY to tell a superior officer who held GENERAL COURTS-MARTIAL AUTHORITY that he didn't understand the UCMJ well enough to appear!!!!!
This was something we fought about 2 centuries ago!!!

I feel sorry for Dr. Lakin, the US military is clearly not the honorable institution it once was. The birther’s question of where is Obozo’s real birth certificate needs to be answered. But another critical and just as important question that addresses the viable standing of our constitutional republic is where the hell was and is congress on doing their job to verify Obozo’s eligibility?

Assange walks free on bail....
..Lakin gets prison.
NOT an even playing field.
