So you think your child's team was the only one in this country to encounter amateur referees? That's part of children's sports and has been going on since I was a kid playing little league baseball back in the '50's.....
Nothing's changed except the mindset of the parents of today's youths such as you who choose to make an issue of it as evidenced by your comment about your daughter:
The good news is it teaches the girls to not respect authority
There was a time when kids were allowed to be kids and have fun with their sports. Unfortunately the sports got organized and then the parents got involved.........and once the parents got involved, it no longer was a game but rather a vicarious experience for the parents who never won at anything when they were kids.
I've witnessed the political bullshit that goes on with kids sports when my nephews were playing junior hockey and I saw the same crap with my best friend's son who only wanted to play baseball........
It was an obsession of their coaches to win at all costs and it was the kids who suffered their unwarranted wrath which was ultimately brought on by the coaches who were under pressure to win by their sponsors.............
That ref has a lot of self control. I’m about a foot shorter than that kid, but I would have been in more trouble than him by the time they pulled me off him.

No, I don’t. And that was the problem. I saw it as pervasive.
