My kids have hardly lived in a concrete block shelter. They’ve lived and visited half the globe. You can be astute and vigilant to a fault but when some creepy dude has your toddler for nine or ten hours a day, good luck finding out if something is awry until it’s far too late. Yeah, and my kid isn’t spending time with any scout masters on overnights either. I know I can’t protect them from everything but I can look out for glaringly obvious warning signs. Like grown men who look for ways to spend inordinate amounts of times with young kids.

paranoia I tell you....a pedophile spending 5 minutes with your kid is too much, a good loving man spending hours and hours with your kid is an asset, a good male role model, much lacking in this day and age.Inordinate amounts of time....what does that mean??? While I was a youth service officer at a juvenile facility, I spent 12 hours a day with young boys......and they were MUCH better for the experience. They saw males that were honest, caring, nurturing, interested in their well-being, protective, and any other good adjectives that you can think of. I really take acception to your analysis of the male gender as somehow more dangerous to your kids than are females....total and absolute NONSENSE. I feel that you could instill, in your kids, a totally unjustified and DANGEROUS fear of men.....most police are men.....most firemen are men, most clergy are men...you don't want your kids to fear these people...they are the ones who are there to protect them.
