I’ve been to a game at Fenway. It was 1990, and I was wearing a Braves cap. Two drunk females in right field cursed at me and my buddy until the police hauled them off in the eighth inning. The people in Appalacia are much nicer.

These days that is more of a concern in Muslim countries than Appalacia.
It’s one thing for the author to be upset by the movie’s portrayal but she went over the line by the referencing Appalachia (or any other place) in that manner. Whether she realizes it or not, she is as guilty as those that upset her. She should issue an apology.
