According to the links on Wikipedia, the author is an attention-seeking Nazi memorabilia collector, and the 97-yr old “war criminal” was Himmler's librarian, and was never indicted or charged with any crimes. Doesn't it seem strange that if this guy was the monster who planned the Holocaust, he would have been brought to justice 65 years ago? IMO, this is another of those breathless “last Nazi” stories that pop up regularly to entertain people who don't know that much to begin with. I'm not saying this Nazi was innocent, but he certainly was no big fish.

My guess was that he got off through some deal like we had with Werner Von Braun, but now it doesn’t seem that way. Thanks for the info.
