Condescending? Perceiving useful and genuine discussion as some kind of threat will get you nowhere. Get over it.
You, and others like you on this board, are never going to achieve anything with simple unnuanced statements of what you consider to be right.
An intellectually nuanced case can be made for what you said before. Clearly you must think so, or it would not be your opinion. That case can be stated many ways. I was trying to encourage you to state it your own way, since I have heard my version many times. I thought I might get something out of it.

I would also add, that a better discussion would probably be had by addressing the points at hand, and ignoring perceived sleights. Sleights are hard enough to discern in real-life, let alone the internet.
