Uh oh. My new watch is suddenly 15 minutes slow. Ack. Maybe I have to give up on mechanical watches.

A portal opens in midair some three feet from the south wall.
Modulated and distorted screams can be heard echoing from within as sounds similar to a soda can falling down a well are projected forth.
And they are getting closer.
