Despite a hit reality cable show and book tour, it is unlikely that Palin will abandon her money-making efforts or her status as a king-maker to run.

The only reason Palin has a status as a king-maker is because people think that she will run. The day she announces that she isn't running is the day a lot of people stop caring about what she has to say. She has no choice but to run.

I say we just vote now and get it over with.

No need for ballots, it will be a WRITE IN vote just like the DEMS allowed in the last election.

No need to wait until 2012, as the DEMS also have already set the precedent for voting early, due to it being so much of an effort to expect DEM voters to go to the polls on the proper day.

I say vote NOW. Then, when we have a winner, they can declare themselves PRESIDENT ELECT (just like Obama did) and take over the leadership position in the Executive Branch, and tell Obama “PLEASE GO”.

Very astute, I hope people grasp the wisdom, of course it is totally lost on pissant.

On the other hand, if Palin runs and loses to Obama (very bad) or loses in the primaries to someone like Romney or Huckabee (possibly worse), she will have lost nationally twice and may be seen as having helped propel Obama (Romney/Huckabee) into office.

She has to weigh that against the relatively safe position as a king-maker.

I don't think it is at all certain that she'll run.
