Palin looses me here, I’m tired of caring about the whole world, we need help here in this country. Who’s going to help us? Haiti is a cesspool and a lost cause, it’s beyond help.

Totally consistent with who she is.

American Christian relief organizations were some of the first on the ground in Haiti, some of the largest relief operations at the height of the relief effort, and among those that have continued the relief efforts there, after some others have slacked off.

Their efforts alone will not “cure” what ails Haiti most - a multi-decades long pandemic of corruption that continues today.

But, to many of those most in need in Haiti, their efforts will not be forgotten.

We have all we can handle just trying to take care of ourselves and neighbors. I have no extra anything to give to these people in Haiti. There are plenty in my community that need help, that’s where mine goes, not overseas. We are not millionaires who can travel and donate............

First show me a desire to stand on your own feet before I bother trying to give you a hand up.

I am awfully damn tired of us tossing billions in tax dollars down the worlds various rat holes.

As Silverleaf stated:

“She went at Graham’s invitation, to draw attention to the need in Haiti. It’s a year after the earthquake and donor fatigue is setting in

If you are dying of cholera, any publicity about your plight is good publicity. The lamestream media bashing Sarah at least draws attention back to conditions in Haiti.
She did not go there to get drawn into interviews intended to misquote her and kindle foreign policy debates.

Greta Van Sustern BTW, has gone on 2 previous Samaritan’s Purse aid distributions, one in 2008 to North Korea before anyone heard of Sarah Palin.

Do you think Bubba and Bush41 and other celebrities go to Haiti and other disaster zones to change bedpans? Or to gain press coverage of the situation on the ground and gain first hand impressions of the conditions to bolster pitches for donor aid?”

Anyways, this is private aid. I don’t see what’s objectionable about it.

I am sure Palin may have had good intentions...but we need less Globalism and more Americanism.

Whether it is tax dollars or private funds, America can no longer subsidize and redistribute wealth to Third World nations...especially those that are permanent basket-cases like Haiti.

Even Haitians that I know, realize that Haiti has major problems that pouring more money into will not help

I just hope this is not Palin with an extended Globalist agenda....she supported the treasonous LOST treaty that Bush 43 tried to push through

She seems to be advocating free will donations to help them, but a miltary airlift to enable delivery. I can live with that.

I have not heard her suggesting that more federal (read “your and my”) money be dumped into that rathole
beyond the cost of delivery and distribution.

By the way, note the hate-filled comments by typical leftists at the source article.

“I know that there’s been some discussion of U.S. aid perhaps being lifted from this area,” she said. “Again — not to get political — but if some of the politicians would come here and see the conditions, perhaps they would see a need for, say, a military airlift to come bring supplies that are so needed here.”

. More evidence that she is an establishment big government politician like all the rest. She is all image (shades of Obama) and no substance. The Sarah worshippers (at least those who beleive she is some sort of advocate of limited government are in for a fall.

Say what???

Sorry, Sarah. Haiti's problem isn't money. Haiti is doomed because of its communist history and permanently corrupt and impossibly inept government. If we dumped a trillion dollars into the hell hole, it would only end up with more poverty and misery.

Did you watch the video report about this trip, pissant? Samaritan's Purse is a Christian charity. Donations are used wisely and effectively. While Haiti is certainly a political cauldron, the children are innocent. Who knows? Maybe this charitable visit will have a positive impact on some of their lives that will change the future of their country. Who are we to say this can't happen?
And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done [it] unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done [it] unto me.
Matthew 25:40

Sarah Palin is currently not a candidate for POTUS. Why shouldn't she use her renown to get others to contribute to what she considers to be a worthy cause? And what better time to do so than during the Christmas season?

Haiti needs regime change to go along with the aid. We ought to take it over as a US territory in order to bring stability and prosperity to the Haitians. If that goes well, we can do the same thing with Mexico.
