I beg to differ here.

No nation, in fact other nations (Rome, Greece to name two) failed on account of their lack of moral values not on account of their bad monetary policies.

When the basic principle of life, which is mentioned first above all other rights, is trampled, no other rights can be held sacred for without the first no other right matters.

Secondly, when rampant and accepted homosexuality was practiced, nations fell into decline.

As Tocqueville so aptly stated, "America is great because America is good."

He did not state, "America is great because Americans have a good tax policy and there are no moral absolutes there."

Dead wrong.

Saving people's wealth is far less important than practicing morality, and that absolutely includes what candidates one votes for.

No liberals, and no liberal policies.

No Romneycares, no McAmnestys, and none of their policies.

SOCIAL-TEA

FISCAL-TEA

Both of each class seem eager to create divisions. This will be used to neutralize the TEA. Count on it. We’re not dealing with amateur political operatives that are working against us.

Don’t neglect the Dick Army branch of the Tea Party...it will not abide the enforcers.I believe since the immigration is really is the LABOR SYSTEM for many profiteering I suspect this is the SOCIAL ISSUE purging really going down. The strength of the Tea PARTY is just what the globalists do not want overturning the labor status quo.In Texas, the Strauss Speaker problem will leave Texans with NO ENFORCEMENT. Bush has alot of sway here. Also, it is being whispered that Jeb’s boy being half Mexico will be be chosen MEX-AMERICAN figurehead for 2016.They do not want to lose a single alien as a future voter.

The catalyst for the Tea Party movement was the government bailout of mortgages and industry. PERIOD. Date February 19, 2009. Believe what you want but anything beside what stated above is purely revisionist.

I'm pro-life, pro-Constitution, pro-family but I ain't gonna piss on your leg and tell you it's raining.

“Not to take anything away from the other concerns over social issues, but the economic situation is most serious right now.”

Wrong....even IF it would work, which it won’t, what good is it to live in a “good economy” if everything else is a moral sewer. NOTHING SHOULD EVER TAKE PRECIDENCE OVER MORAL ISSUES. Get the moral issues right and everything else will fall into place.

And, pray tell, how do you know that with such certainty??Have you interviewed all of the independents?....or enough to warrant your inferences? The T.E.A. Party has its core principles on the plate to demand its attention but social issues also demand attention.

The economy is a social issue as far as I am concerned. Man does not live by bread alone, but you have to have bread. Saddling future generations with crippling debt is immoral. Creating generations of welfare addicts is immoral. Nothing destroys the moral character of an individual faster than socialism. Sometimes you have to pick your battles, and the top priority is the economy.

Sorry but I cannot agree that social issues don’t affect the economy. I am not going to stop resisting or start supporting queers, abortion and illegal aliens.

It may have been the catalyst, but not the ingredients.

A band of people without moral values is not a nation.
The USA, now USSA, is in sore need of “revisionist”.

The Tea Party represents true Americans that want to reverse the overwhelming tide of neo-Marxism.
If you think it is all about the money, you should go hook up with George Soros and company.

Focus on economic issues, but don’t ignore social issues, as both are entwined at some level.

Issue #1 to moderates and the left that will make or break conservative dominance in our government is abortion. As wrong as it is, women who would otherwise define themselves as moderate/conservative will balk at anyone attempting to tell them what they can or can’t do with their bodies, and they will vote over that one despicable issue, everything else be damned.

It’s disgusting, but it is reality. To insure that conservatives are installed at all levels of government in the near future, do not threaten their beliefs that they are entitled to this abhorrent practice, although I see nothing wrong with insuring that if they want to kill their unborn they must pay for such an atrocity by themselves and under no circumstances should taxpayers ever foot the bill, but for the near future they can have their way. Once conservatives have a stranglehold on government, slowly proceed to finally do away with this practice under most circumstances, all the while educating this and following generations as to why such an abomination is wrong, and making sure that the young understand this as well.

If people want liberalism, it will be neutralized.
Since economics is a secondary issue to social conservatives, there will be zero compromise on their part.

Indeed, the economic downturn has forced many people to reevaluate their life's priorities. In my area, a lot of the major churches are seeing such an increase that they are needing to build. You can bet that while they aren't just jumping to see people become poor...the Christian right isn't going to see this as a time to compromise. My church gave me a 22qt roaster for an early Christmas present. I cook for several local recovery ministries frequently. When you have no money or job, its more likely that you will try to beat an expensive addiction.

Those are FISCAL issues which the TEA Party can oppose without getting into social issues.

The TEA Party should stay focused on opposing unconstitutional spending and progressive taxation. All of your examples are of unconstitutional spending.

It doesn’t need to address social issues like prayer on public property, gay marriage, drug use, prostitution, RKBA, etc. except to say the government has no place promoting or restricting any of these ideas using taxpayer dollars.

There are plenty of other groups that champion social conservative issues. The Taxed Enough Already Party shouldn’t muddy the waters by straying into social issues.

There is nothing in my post, except for the statement of fact regarding the genesis of the current Tea Party.

All about the money? Wrong tree, pal.
