If bears had shown up (highly unlikely but still), Kate would have been the first one running away screaming her head off and leaving her kids to be eaten. Poor kids don’t stand a chance with either of their parents.
LOL. The bear safety class instructed everyone to talk calmly and softly to the bear... so if Kate went screaming and running away, she would have been the bear’s meal and her children would have been safe.
