Now I am wondering if I am getting pathetic. I’d love to send Piper a Birthday card. Am I coming unhinged on the one person that gives me hope?
We sent the Palins a Christmas card last year with a short note thanking Sarah for her kindness toward my daughter Maya when we met her at a booksigning, and got a hand written thank you note in return—the address looked like it had been written by someone Piper’s age. :-) So you never know unless you try.
