On December 3, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice gave CBS's Katie Couric a much-needed lesson on why America invaded Iraq.
When Couric said to her guest during an "HBO History Makers Series" interview, "Documentaries have been made about how intelligence was incorrectly analyzed and cherry-picked to build an argument for war, and memos from that time do suggest that officials knew there was a small chance of actually finding weapons of mass destruction in Iraq," Rice stopped the host dead in her tracks (video follows with transcript and commentary):

What did Rice do after she left office? She led one life before. I know nothing of the after.
One day I may understand why anyone takes Couric seriously. Is it because she thinks she can talk down to conservatives? I really don’t get it. She is, at best, a bit above normal intelligence, but has yet to show any real brilliance or grasp of issues not eet forth in a liberal’s template.
She went back to Stanford. My daughter was in the first class Dr. Rice taught last Spring. Those students were put on notice, tho, that from time to time class might be canceled because Dr. Rice is still visited by world leaders, and called upon for her expertise.
what was the class?
Call me skeptical.
I like the Dan Akroyd Saturday Night Live approach much better: “Katie, you dumb lapdog of the left useful idiot slut...”
I know, however, that Ms. Rice has far more class than that. )
nobody, but nobody, takes Katie Coo seriously
>>nobody, but nobody, takes Katie Coo seriously<<
That is my position as well. I’ve actually met quite a few “famous” people and many of them may have a following, but they are not too bright. It is sometimes as if fame and intelligence are mutually exclusive. Obviously there are exceptions, cough, Palin, cough, but it is a generally accurate rule.
Another exception would be Gene Simmons. I disagree with him on a few points, but he is one smart cookie.
If the words Katie wants to use are not written down for her she is screwed.
She is a news reader, plain and simple.
She would like to be a power on the side of the left, but she just isn’t bright enough for the job.
How much Money is CBS going to lose on this person?
She continues to say there was no WMD. In another sentence she says there was no “stock piles” of WMD.
Those wikileaks docs become more interesting by the day.
This whole Iraq affair reminds me of the dropping of the 2nd A-bomb that all but wiped out Christianity in Japan.
What good did we do in Iraq? Anyone still doubts that we’ll have another Sadam Hussein in about 10 years from now? Or are there still those who think that we have established ‘democracy’ in Iraq? It’s so incredibly sad that so many good and brave Americans and soldiers of other nationalities had to die and be maimed.
We’re dealing with muslims, for crying out loud.
I have a call out to my daughter to ask what the course was, but obviously it was something in the world of Political Science. Will let you know when I hear back.
Not enough, apparently.
The over-rated/dim-witted Couric could not understand the language and comprehend the logic of that principle.
She could use a translator...or a dog-trainer.
But, but, but, the bombs that the FBI have been providing to wannabee jihadists lately are called WMD in American “news” media.
Interesting how definitions change, depending on the party in power.
