Of course I am biased...I was a first time dog owner, I read through the AKC dog bible and we decided upon the Corgi for all the reasons you listed. We couldn't be happier. We thought we'd never be able to replace Jake, but Dagny... Here, just look at this album showing her life from 10 wks to her first birthday. ps, play the sideshow

Adorable! I see attributes of both fox and wolf, which resonate because my wolf was my favorite dog I ever had.

I really admire dogs that aren't extensions of their owners' personalities, but their own 'person' in their own right.
