December 12th 2010 Blizzard Photos from Wisconsin

Here are some photos of our yard after last night's storm. We got about a foot or so of snow. Perhaps 15 when it's all done. The winds up have gusts to and sometimes exceeding 50 miles an hour today. Post your photos and stories. Luckily no trees fell on wires or our house! And we didn't lose power.

Nice pictures, and everything looks so clean. I remember getting snowed in during a visit to Corpus Christi Texas in 1985. We did hit 56 earlier.

Well, can you send that moisture to central Texas? We don’t need the cold, but we haven’t had much over .2 rain since the first of Nov.

Pretty! It’s still very windy here. We didn’t do outside lights this year.

I'm 15 miles NW of Ohare, the Cracker Barrel in Rockford is 55 miles away.

I know this as a fact.

I also know that the Cracker Barrel in Naperville is 28 miles away.

I also know how far the CB in Hammond, In. is, and the one in Tinley Park, Il, and the one in Stevensville, Mi.

Its important to know where the important landmarks are.

Now I remember why I moved to central Texas!

Well, I was born and raised here, but we sure could use some rain.

Not today. I saw the score earlier, 21-0. Glad I'm not watching it. Grrrrr.

A few days ago, the NFL channel had the 85-86 SuperBowl XX on. It was FUN watching that again.

My relatives, who I just saw at Thanksgiving are in Ludington and Scottville. Unfortunately, their not FReepers.

I once drove a par four green (hole was 425 yards) which had a lake in front. The temp was below zero and my drive landed just in front of the lake and one hopped onto the ice, kept its speed across the lake, then bounded up the hill from the lake and onto the green. Ah to be young again.

Lucky you! It’s 29 degrees with a 10+ mph NW wind here in the Heart of Dixie. Low for tonight is forcast to be 21; high for tomorrow 32. Then we go into the deep freeze: 14 degrees for Tuesday morning.

If you cropped out the eave in this shot...

...you'd have a nice version of the Lantern Waste from Narnia.

(And I'll be nice and not describe the weather here in So. Cal.!)

Sorry for all the broken tree limbs, but it is beautiful.

From a Texican, of course, so take with grain of salt. I only have leaves and hope like heck we don’t get the snow we did last year. My porch would prolly collapse.

Oh that is beautiful, thanks for sharing. It was 84 and sunny here in So Cal — tshirt weather. We’ll send SUN. Of course, we dream of White Christmases. Went to Christmas Carol last night, and they had soap bubbles puffing out of the porch roof as we exited - Southern Californians get all excited about that, even the fake stuff.
