I am beyond words. How does this stop? Doesn’t Congress have to have a say in authorizing such amounts? What happened? How did all this happen?

I think congress does have a say, but the democrats have controlled congress since 2006 and the GOP acted like deomcrats once GWB took office. They were pretty good under Clinton, but I think they got rightfully angry when he got the credit for all the good work that they did. The same will happen under obama, but Americans will
know to credit the Republicans this time because obama made such a mess and November's election was historic.
It's of utmost importance the we capture the US Senate majority and the White House in 2012, so the GOP message of taking credit for all improvements in the economy has to be united, partisan and the strongest message ever!
