I like your insight. You can couple people within the concept of desertion. American citizens are abandoned by American corporations in the economic limbo contest for the lowest cost and the fastest buck. American corporations with the power of free speech [read dollars] to influence the election process to sanctify their dissolution of the American economy.
We must make more of what we import or we will continue to skid toward our meltdown as a world power. If corporations are unwilling to make in this [their] country, then there must be tariffs to equalize the difference in what countries buy from us and what we buy from them.
Does it ever cross your mind that the first thing to happen should be making it easier for U.S. corporations to operate? Why the beeline to raising everybody’s taxes?
I don’t disagree with the need for some form of domestic allegiance by corporations. This is really an issue for the largest. Mid-size, small, and tiny are by nature circulating within save the illegal labor problem.
I have mixed feelings about the union labor the contributed to the fall of the industrial infrastructure. No reasonable person would ever take away the dedication and sweat so many have given, and still give today. This virtue, however, has been squandered to feed the labor greed that compliments irresponsible investment greed.
Both extremes of global investment and labor are dividing the Country. We citizens need to wake up to this fact.
Funny how so many people actually believe that Marxist line even though most American citizens are both employed by and are owners of those very same American corporations.
Go figure.
