Technology is polarizing society, dividing the educated and the less educated.”

The lost generation of American workers — low-educated, low-skilled, too old to be retrained, too young to retire — has led to the fear of a permanent underclass, the idea that the US will eventually become like much of Europe, subsidizing 10% of the under- or unemployed population.

“I would hate for a permanent underclass,” Karnani says. “The child of a janitor should be able to go to college.”

**************

Important in all this is that -—

The elite have no *** fear *** at all of a “permanent underclass”. They are drooling in anticipation and glee of there being a permanent underclass. They do not fear for those with lower education (intelligence) or worry about them at all. They are eugenicist who are using this all to thin the herd so they are just left with the cream of the crop intellectually. There are books written about this stuff, they eat it us, salivate over the words in the book, wait in anticipation for the great society of super men and women who will have the best of minds. They anticipate the day they have finally rid the world of average and low IQ folks that are such a pain in their book to deal with. Hitler alive and well, all by design. They were able to convince folks for the last 100 to abort the children they didn't want - the physical and mental deficient in their minds, or certain races that they don't want more of. Now they are using what is going on presently to get rid of the average to low IQ folks. They are in superman mode the elite.

But they are not. Many of them are getting elected, and the rest are breeding like flies.

Not only that, but renorming the SAT scores all the time, and demanding that the illiterate have a "Right" to a college education (Have you seen the resumes?) assures an endless supply of them. These are the people who WOULD have been assembling widgets on assembly lines. But there are no assembly lines anymore. So they get a degree in Art Self Esteem, and then never work.

I agree with you except for this part...
“rid the world of average and low IQ folks”...
The unber wealthy do not want to rid the world of them;
it is in their best interest to create and maintain a permanent underclass
so they can be used as their slaves and for their entertainment.
(for some reason I just thought to compare it to
the relationship between the morlock and eloi)

This is in no way a new concept or economic model,
it has been that way for a couple of thousand years.
Pharaohs, Emporers, Kings, warlords, have always done this.
Our “democracy” was “supposed” to be different, and it is it most ways.
But there are and always have been the uber wealthy
who are isolated and protected from any real difficulties
and have the means to manipulate things behind the scenes.

That being said, it is neither all bad or all good.
Having wealth is not an inherently bad thing,
there are certainly “good” and “bad” wealthy people,
just as there are “good” and “bad” poor people.

Since the beginning of time the struggle has always
been a struggle between “good” and “evil”.
Not rich vs. poor; or white vs. black; or english vs. irish;
or north vs. south; or christian vs. muslim; or german vs. french;
but good vs. evil.

The class struggle we see nowadays being ginned up by the politicians and the media
pitting the “bad wealthy” people against the “good poor and middle class”
is not healthy and I believe it is a smokescreen.

Wasn’t it the ancient romans who longed for a benevolent dictator?

Bullcrap. The libs while they may be misguided in their ways do not want a underclass. No sane country or leader in the world wants a underclass.

Reading the rest of your post I'm double face palming.

Those elite need a middle class too. That way they can use class warfare to pit the lower against the middle and themselves be insulated.
