I can only make a tenuous connection, but Kate had a hairdo that looked like something Sarah would want to shoot for dinner.

I think I’ll pass on this one.

The shooting caribou episode was priceless. Not the shooting itself, but the whole adventure of going to an uninhabited land, with outposts of one person, bear stories, little planes with fat tires; the whole trip.

But then the liberal reaction. “Snuff film”. Then the anti hunting rhetoric by meat eating, leather seated wackos.

I don’t see how this episode could live up to that.

I’ve been DVR’ing this show and only sat down yesterday to watch them marathon style. As a city boy I was very impressed with the Alaskan people presented on the show, relatives and not.

I would like to visit Sarah Palin’s Alaska but I got the impression that even before she became the VP nominee, she didn’t spend the amount of quality time with her family as she did on this show.

So in a way, watching it made me sad for her personally yet encouraged that someone like her would delve into the seemy world of politics to ensure people could enjoy the lifestyle portrayed on the show.

She’s much more complex than people give her credit for.

There are, predictably, some great quotes from Kate during the camping trip (“Sorry I am miserable, but somebody’s gotta be.”)

That's a funny quote!
