What always amuses me (or makes me angry)is that I was at a Town Hall meeting in Columbus, Ohio winter 1998 where Albright, Berger, and Cohen were advocating action against Saddam Hussein. And the A B C’s act like it never happened. Hell, it was on CNN!
I am also so sick of the anti Bush crowd, both in the left and on Freeper ( Oh, Im just being honest..Reagen, blah, blah. Bush Bad. )
Ping for later.
You forgot to mention the Marsh people.
One would think the enviros would have a word of thanks here.
The Lame Stream Media will never print this, or anything else favorable, to George W. Bush. He is a good man, was a great president, and we were lucky to have him in charge for 8 years.
Agree MSM puts ice on a$$.
Remember too that Russia came to GWB and told him Saddam was planning an attack with WMD sooner rather than later. It’s a marvelous tribute to the power of the MSM that so many lies could be told, and believed and 16 years later the public still buys the BS that put out to discredit Bush.
16 years?
Where were the Republicans defending Bush???NOWHERE!
I really hold them all responsible for letting the “Bush lied” crap to go on and on and on.....You are right, in some parallel universe, cause the WMD’s were not right in the downtown square in Baghdad..well, there weren’t any.
I still think they got them out at the beginning of the invasion to syria.
as for the other point you make...OPEN BORDERS LIBERAL REAGEN! HA. oh, excuse me, Reagen is a saint cause he is dead and we just don’t talk about his border policy...hee. hee.
OK, what can I say? Math is not my strong point. I hang my head in shame. Thanks for catching that.
I wasn’t trying to be a butt head. I thought I was missing something. LOL
I distinctly remember a high level Russian, Putin perhaps, meeting with GWB and telling him Iran had or was near getting WMD and their intent was to use them on the US. In retrospect I think it was just a ploy by Russian to get us tied down in Iraq and give them some breathing room. I think they felt if we went into Iraq it would lessen our ability to mess with them.
I am confident the whole Plame affair was a set up from git-go. As was the intelligence given Bush that an invasion would certainly turn up WMD. Then the Left goaded him into going back to the UN and back to the UN, giving Saddam to get the WMD out of Iraq. Remember the caravans of trucks that went into Syria at the height of our build up for an Iraqi invasion?
Dubya is an honest man. And like many honest men he tends to project that trait onto those with whom he deals. There is not an ounce of honesty in or about the Left.
The fact the Plame investigation continued long after the special prosecutor knew damn well who had outed her, and Scooter Libby was eventually convicted of a process crime just further convinces me the whole thing was a set up.
And I think the great financial ‘crisis’ of 2008 was another Leftie/MSM operation. And McCain played right into their hands, just as Dubya had done earlier.
There is precious little difference between the Left/MSM cabal and militant, extreme Islam. Both will stop at nothing to accomplish their goals.
America is at war, pure and simple. We have several enemies, one of whom is in the Oval Office. Another of whom is waging a holy war and using our hesitancy to call it that as just one more weapon to damage us.
At some point we will wake up and smell the coffee. Hopefully not too late to do something. But regardless of when we are finally convinced we have to get serious about both enemies it will take much, much stronger, and unlikeable measures to handle them.
That's my take on the whole thing, starting with the Russians going to Dubya and sounding a bogus warning to back up what EVERY major intelligence agency in the world was saying at the time. Remember, GWB had said he trusted Putin. Putin used that trust to get us bogged down in what would be a fruitless search for WMD. The rest is history.
Thanks for posting it.
