Taft was back in the time when people weren’t fixated on “weight” and “being thin”; people just were what they were and didn’t agonize over it. Obama is super thin, mostly just naturally so, but right now it doesn’t seem to be helping him much. He seems to be able to eat as he likes and still stay skinny; Michelle not so much. However, it isn’t likely that the celebrity culture worship that has permeated this country is going to allow for people in the culture being natural and normal any time soon. Meantime, you either have to cut loose from it emotionally or let it drive us nuts. I’m for letting common sense prevail and being natural and ourselves. If this one and that one don’t like you, so be it.
