Maine Sen. Susan Collins is upset by yesterday's Senate defeat of the Defense Authoritzation bill containing the "don't ask, don't tell" repeal provision. Collins, who supports repealing the anti-gay policy, says Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid refused to allow Republicans enough time for debate and amendments.
Collins indicated that she was surprised when Reid decided yesterday to bring the measure to a vote. "And it seems evident to me that, unfortunately, the majority leader is not pursuing the path that we discussed, or at least that's my interpretation of what he's saying," Collins said. "I think that's so unfortunate. I want to vote to proceed to this bill."
Yesterday's vote doesn't necessarily end the repeal effort in this lame-duck session, but makes it less likely. And next year's more Republican-dominated Congress is considered unlikely to pass any legislation ending the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy toward gays.

I hope I'm still around in 2 years to see the B*TCH (and I will do whatever I can to help the cause) go down in flames.
There are many Demo-Rats who I loathe, but none more than an F'n RINO, and there is no bigger RINO than Colins.
PLEASE, please Mainers, can you find someone to run against her?
If not, I will support any Demo-Rat as I don't care who beats her as long as she goes, for, what difference would it make in having a "RAT" taking her place?

We’re trying to prevent our country from becoming a third world cesspool, and this idiot is concerned about her gay constituency?

Somehow Sen. Collins just doesn’t seem in line to continue the legacy of John C. Calhoun...or Pee Wee Herman for that matter.

The gangrene has taken the extremities already: California, Oregon, Washington State, Maine . . .
No way Brown should have won in CA, but considering the alternatives voters have, why have a fake liberal when you can have a real liberal? Schwartzenegger is what would have happened to the GOP had McCain won.

The gangrene has taken the extremities already: California, Oregon, Washington State, Maine . . .And the RNC and state GOPs seems to play no small part in snuffing out the last remnants of conservatism in those states.
They haven't pushed conservative pubbies in those states for years, but instead have rewarded the RINO-virus, and endorsed liberal immigration and open border policies leading to an uber-liberal demographic.

Upset? Why? Does Collins plan on joining the military?

For those of you not already aware of it, John Bolton, bandied about as a potential conservative POTUS 2012 candidate also supports the repeal of DADT:
Asked about the presidents plan to repeal Dont Ask, Dont Tell, Bolton said he is generally in favor of allowing anyone who wants to serve their country in the military to do so. I dont have any trouble with that [repealing Dont Ask, Dont Tell] assuming it is done in a way that is respectful of the people in the military who have great difficulty with it, he said. I dont think there is any good answer to the question why shouldnt gays and lesbians who want to serve their country be allowed to do it.
While he told TheDC social issues arent where I spend a lot of my time, Bolton said he opposes abortion and has no problem with gay marriage indeed, he said that gay marriage is going to happen. But, he added, they are fundamentally issues to be resolved politically, primarily at the state level. And I think the notion of creating a constitutional right to abortion or a constitutional right to gay marriage is a mistake.

Ms Collins. The men and women that defend this nation at the risk of their lives do not want you and the other political hacks screwing with their ability to peform their duty. The troops on the ground are not there for you and other social engineers to use to further you leftist agenda..
To: Baladas
The surrvey that they did was a joke. I understand that only 400 troops answered that they felt it would not be a problem to have gays serving openly.
Who did they send the questionnaires to? DOD won't answer any questions.

Hey Susan, do the country a favor: whenever you are up next for re-election, just stay in and do your nails.

Collins was shaking a bit on camera. She has something neurological.

The traitorous old hag needs to be primaried in 2014. She can then be one of the 72 virgins the Mooslimbs fantasize about.
